Food-growing systems should use seeds, nutrients, water treatments and crop-protection products according to their intended use and applicable guidance. Hydroponic nutrient management, food safety and water quality deserve particular attention when crops are intended for consumption.

Sustainable Oasis experimentation is intended to improve practical understanding; it does not replace agricultural, engineering, food-safety or regulatory expertise where those are required.
