“Filtered” does not automatically mean “potable.”

Drinking-water safety depends on the source, contaminants, treatment method, system condition and applicable local requirements. Products should be used according to their certified capabilities and manufacturer instructions. When safety is uncertain, appropriate water testing and qualified guidance are essential.

Rainwater harvesting, plumbing, greywater reuse and storage requirements can also vary by jurisdiction. Permanent systems should be designed and installed in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
